Employee-Owned Company Earns Company of the Year Title for Second Time
Bristol, Pa. — March 26, 2021 —The Pennsylvania/Delaware Chapter of the ESOP Association has selected DVL Group, an employee-owned company, as Company of the Year for its regional territory. In addition to this year’s recognition, DVL, which has been providing expert service and solutions for critical environments since 1985, first received this prestigious award in 2018. This November, DVL will be representing the PA/DE Chapter at the ESOP Association’s Employee Owned Conference in which one of the organization’s 18 chapters’ Company of the Year will be awarded this recognition on the national level.
As an employee-owned company, DVL fully embraces employee ownership culture throughout the many areas of their work. In addition, all vested employees are given Employee Stock Ownership Plans (ESOP). An ESOP is a retirement plan that holds shares of company stock on behalf of employees, generally with no out-of-pocket costs to them. As the company prospers, these retirement accounts do so as well. By ensuring employees share in company successes, ESOPs are uniquely effective at aligning the interests of everyone in the business. Everyone, including DVL’s CEO Gary Hill, witnesses this to be true. When announcing news of this award to his company, Hill confirmed to them, “I appreciate the energy you bring every day, and the many successes we’re able to celebrate together.”
DVL has been very involved in the ESOP Association’s National and PA/DE Chapter activities, and has more recently become involved with the California and Western States Chapter since their Denver and Salt Lake City offices were established in the past several years. In addition, it has been at national ESOP Association conferences in which DVL was recognized for their outstanding work promoting employee ownership education—in 2019 DVL earned an Annual Award for Communications Excellence in the category of Employee Ownership Marketing, and has also placed as the runner-up in several other categories over the past several years.
