Bristol, Pa. — May 28, 2019 — The employee owners of DVL Group, Inc., met with Representative Brian Fitzpatrick (PA-01) today at the company’s Bristol location to talk about the importance of employee ownership through employee stock ownership plans (ESOPs). During the meeting, the employee owners thanked Rep. Fitzpatrick for recently co-sponsoring H.R. 2258 in the House, pro-ESOP bill.
“We had a great conversation about the concept of ESOPs and the value it brings to each one of us [employee owners],” affirmed Gary Hill, DVL Group’s CEO. During the visit, Rep. Fitzpatrick presented Hill with a USA Flag and an accompanying placard.
Founded in 1985, DVL Group has been perfecting the science of data center infrastructure implementation for more than 30 years, and has had an ESOP in place since 2006. An ESOP is a retirement plan that holds shares of company stock on behalf of employees, generally with no out-of-pocket costs to them. As the stock price rises, employees’ retirement accounts rise as well. By ensuring that employees share in the rewards when the company prospers, ESOPs are uniquely effective at aligning the interests of everyone in the business.

Coincidentally, the Congressman’s visit comes only days after DVL Group was the recipient of an Annual Award for Communications Excellence in the category of Employee Ownership Marketing, by the ESOP Association at their national conference in Washington, D.C.
