DVL Group, Inc & SAS, LLC are seeking to fill the role of an Application Support Engineer.
The ideal candidate will possess a BS degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial or Civil Engineering or an Engineering related degree. Three to five years of related field experience would be helpful but not necessarily required.
Familiarity with some to most of the following is highly desirable:
- AutoCad and/or Visio for preparation of electrical single lines, schematics, elevation s, floor plans, various control systems, mechanical piping systems, etc.
- Some understanding of Electrical generation, distribution, conditioning & control systems.
- Some understanding of thermodynamics, pump & motor curves, VFDs, Chillers, piping systems & losses, heat transfer basics.
- Familiarity with the National Electric Code.
- Some understanding of NFPA 70E & OSHA electrical safety regulations.
- A solid command of the Microsoft office suite of programs (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, etc.).
- A general understanding of the Construction Design-Bid Build & Design-Build processes.

This position will report to the President of Strategic Account Services (SAS), however will also assist and be heavily involved with the Integrated SAS Salesmen and Power System (control design) Engineers.
The main job responsibilities will include but not be limited to:
- Assisting the SAS integrated sales personnel with complex engineered sales proposals that might include some of the previously mentioned Cad drawings, PowerPoint presentations, energy efficiency analysis, payback/ ROI analysis, etc.
- Become actively involved with the management of integrated Mechanical and/or Electrical projects. This can include heavy vendor interface, providing job schedules, development of customized interface drawings/project submittals
- Participation in onsite construction meetings.
- Development of testing, commissioning, customer turn over, close out and as built documents.
- Development of monitoring & control system algorithms and HMI interface requirements for our Power System Engineers to implement
The position of Application Support Engineer can lead to a position in Outside Sales, Power Systems Engineering or Services Management after a successful three to five years track record.
